Last week, we did a Kevin Henkes author study with 1st grade. Each class came to the library for two days and got to rotate around to 4 different stations. At each station, the students got to read a Kevin Henkes book and do a related activity. One of the stations they read Sheila Ray the Brave and then got to create a word cloud on ABCYA.
