Isbell's First Annual Storybook Pumpkin Patch!!

Our library has turned into a pumpkin patch! This week, 1st/3rd/5th graders brought in their storybook characters to decorate the library! The pumpkins are awesome, you can check some of them out below!!

 

The Dogs are Back!!!

The Therapy Dogs are back in action at Isbell Elementary! Each month, they come and read with the kiddos (well the kids read, not the dogs). Both the dogs and kids love this activity! Below are some pictures of the kids reading with the dogs!!

Melissa Sweet's visit to Isbell!!

On Thursday, the Isbell students got to meet Bluebonnet Award Nominee, Melissa Sweet! They had so much fun learning about how she started as a writer and illustrator and learned more about her books. Below are some pictures of her visit! We are looking forward to reading more of her books in the future!

Back to school!!!

Welcome back! The library officially opened it's doors last week. We have been busy doing orientations with students in grades 3-5. In a couple of weeks, we will start Kinder and First grade library check outs. We are looking forward to working with everyone this year in the library!
